Born on June 7, 1981, in Bukavu, Congo, Rutamu Julien grew up in a world where catering was more than just a job: a passion passed down to him by his mother, a restaurant owner. From an early age, he was immersed in this environment, observing, learning, and developing a deep respect for the culinary arts and service.

At the age of 13, he left his native country for Belgium. Three years later, convinced that gastronomy was his path, he enrolled in professional culinary training at the Madeleine Jacquemot school in Evere. There, under the influence of chef Eddy Mers, he refined his techniques and discovered the importance of refinement, expertise, and rigor in the profession.

His career then led him to work in several prestigious establishments. He learned his trade in renowned restaurants in Brussels, including Rouge Tomate and L'Olivier, where he perfected his craft and learned to satisfy the most demanding palates. His experience also extended to France, notably at Club Med, where he discovered a world combining hospitality and high-level gastronomy. At the same time, he also worked for Sodexo, a kitchen dedicated to businesses, which allowed him to broaden his skills in management and large-scale organization..

It was during a party in Saint-Tropez that Rutamu Julien experienced a true revelation. A client asked him to provide him with cigars in a few minutes. Responsive and efficient, he complied and realized that this type of personalized service, beyond cuisine, is an art in itself. This event marked a turning point in his career: he discovered a second passion and moved towards high-end service and the profession of butler.

Today, Rutamu Julien works as a professional butler, putting his expertise and attention to detail to work for a prestigious clientele. However, his ambition doesn't stop there. His ultimate dream is to open his own restaurant, a place where he can express his culinary vision with a personal touch.
